Have you cached Long Beach, Washington? The Washington State Geocaching Association (WSGA) is hosting a little geocacher meet and greet at the Ocean Park Library in the meeting room from 11:30 to 1:00. Join us midday for some snacks and meet some of your fellow geocachers. We may get some drop-ins from the library, too, who want to see what our game is all about.
I will be bringing the "Ocean Park Ten" geocaching trivia quiz, too, so wear your thinking caps if you want to give it a try!
There are about 40 geocaches on the peninsula, and many more along the way there. If you come in from out of town and approach from Longview on the Washington side along Hwy 4 you can enjoy bearsandme's alphabet series (26, of course!) that ends up on Long Beach. Start with: Amy's aardvark Amethyst awaits asparagus
Then if you return east on the Oregon side, there are many, many great geocaches in the Astoria area and around Fort Stevens State Park.
We will have the trackable WSGA banner for you to discover, some raffle prizes, and cookies and bottled water. If you packed a lunch, you can bring it in and eat here. We'll be looking forward to seeing you!
Don't forget to check this out, since there is a State Park not too far from the event!
