maattmoo: Deleting due to last finder comments.
Apologies to anyone who suffered the “disaster of a final” I not going to get into a debate about it, can’t control what people think, I’ll just delete all caches if needed!

Geocache Description:

Here is a Wherigo cache for you to find.

A walking or cycling historical tour around Faversham. You will visit a range of places and find out some information to answer some simple questions to unlock the next location.

The tour is about 2 miles around Faversham.

Faversham has a very interesting and vast history, so much that it really would take all day to fit it in. This is somewhat of a whistle stop tour.

You will along the way see many more places of interest. The ones that I have selected are interesting to me, and hopefully to you too.

I have enjoyed putting this wherigo together, and it is based a little bit on a previous multi-cache, which I started, and enjoyed, but part of the multi was missing, and it was archived before I completed. The title suggests itself to that multi, but this is a little bit of that multi plus a little bit more...

The whole circuit is about 2 miles. And is likely to take 1-2 hours. If you cycle probably less. All the places you visit are along paved routes. Please as you tour be careful along the roads, many are quiet and some areas are pedestrianised. All info is easy to find, and questions are a range of multi choice or exact answer questions. You will need to answer correct to unlock the next location.

Around the tour are many more places of interest. Of course take your time to enjoy them too, or make use of the facilities in Faversham. Some interesting places that are not included but you will pass are places such as...

A house where James II was kept under house arrest for three days

The second guildhall where Elizabeth I was entertained

The Old Grammar School, which was rebuilt at the townspeoples request by Queen Elizabeth I

And plenty of other interesting buildings, homes and stories

A piece of paper or a calc may come in handy for two sums you are asked within the tour!

So to the technical bits...

You can visit and log in with your geocaching alias at wheigo.com where you can find out what these are all about. This link will open a new window.

And you will need to download the cartridge Finding Faversham Further and run on your device.

You need to be logged in to Wherigo to be able to download the cartridge.
