Eine Klippe ist ein Felsenriff, ein Fels im Wasser, der über dem Niveau des umgebenden Meer- oder Seebodens liegt und dabei wenig über die Wasseroberfläche emporragt oder bis nahe an die Oberfläche reicht. Im letzteren Fall gelten Klippen in der Schifffahrt als Untiefen.
Klippen finden sich oft vor felsigen Steilküsten, den Kliffküsten, die infolge der Brandung durch Abrasion oder marine Erosion entstehen. Sie sind dort der Küstenlinie vorgelagert. Wegen ihres Gefahrenpotentials für die Schifffahrt werden Klippen in nautischen Karten verzeichnet.
Pula liegt an der stark zerklüfteten Südspitze der Halbinsel Istrien. Die pulsierende Hafen- und Industriestadt ist die größte Stadt und zugleich wirtschaftliches Zentrum Istriens. Tragende Säulen sind die Werftindustrie und der Tourismus. Auch kulturell hat Pula mit mehreren Fachschulen, einer Akademie, Bibliotheken, Museen und einem Theater einiges zu bieten.
Die auf mehreren Hügeln errichtete Stadt grenzt an mehrere Buchten an. In der Altstadt, die sich ringförmig um den Kastellhügel erstreckt, ist ein reiches römisches Erbe zu finden, darunter das Amphitheater. Östlich der Altstadt hingegen sind die Einflüsse der k.u.k.-Zeit, als Pula wichtigster Kriegshafen der Donaumonarchie war, sichtbar.
Nun zum Cache:
Wir verbringen hier mit unserem Spielmannszug unsere diesjährige Vereinsfahrt. Unsere Unterkunft befindet sich direkt am Meer in einer Bucht. Rechts und links können wir die Klippen bewundern.
Der Anblick hat uns faziniert und wir finden, hier gehört ein Cache hin. Wir bitte alle Cacher ein bisschen auf den Cache zu achten, dass er lange erhalten bleibt. Wenn nötig, steckt doch auch mal ein neues Logbuch rein. Danke dafür und viel Spaß beim Finden.
