Monsival ist ein Hügel im touristischen Teil der Stadt Pula und auf seiner Spitze befindet sich Fort Bourguignon, ursprünglich Fort Monsival genannt. Die Festung wurde von 1861 bis 1866 als ein kreisförmiges zweistöckiges Gebäude mit kleinem Kreishof im Zentrum gebaut.
Fort Bourguignon, der seinen Namen nach erstem Kommandanten von Arsenal, dem belgischen Grafen im Dienst der Österreichisch-Ungarischen Monarchie, bekam, ist ein wahres Beispiel der Anpassung österreichischer Festungen an Kultur und Unterhaltung, ohne den Bau-, Architektur- und Denkmalwert zu beeinträchtigen. In den letzten Jahren wurden in dieser Festung Konzerte, Performance und Techno-Partys veranstaltet.

Der Anblick dieser Burg hat uns faziniert und wir finden, hier gehört ein Cache hin. Wir bitte alle Cacher ein bisschen auf den Cache zu achten, dass er lange erhalten bleibt. Wenn nötig, steckt doch auch mal ein neues Logbuch rein. Danke dafür und viel Spaß beim Finden.
