This is our very first geocache hide ever. We hid it in honor of finding 25+ geocaches - with the goal of hiding one every 25 caches that we find. The cache container is a collaborative effort of my husband, my BFF's child (who added the "animal"), myself and our children. Please do not bring swag to this cache - you will understand once you access the cache.
Beware of the stinging nettles in late summer. There aren't many, but there are a few and they really do pack a punch.
Besides this cache - there are a few others near-by and, if you look closely, you will notice that people have hidden Christmas ornaments throughout the watershed.
This next part will give away the location, so if you like more of a challenge, do not read on.
The cache is located a few feet off a small path. The map currently only shows one trail going north to south, but there are actually many trails meandering through this watershed. In order to take a trail as close to the cache as possible, from the more southerly entrance, when there is an option to go straight or head north, GO STRAIGHT. There is a small footpath/trail off on the left - it is currently marked with bright ribbons (but I am not sure who put them there or how long they will be there). Go LEFT on this trail. Take it until you can just see the chain link fence and then start looking to your left - the cache is in a tree and you will have to lower it down in order to access it.
Congratulations to 2nd1of3 and PhatBldGuy for the FTF & STF.
