I'm here to protect this place.
I do not allow that anyone mistreat nature and I will punish those who throw garbage on the ground or damage something along the way.

O percurso inicia-se no adro da Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz, situada no lugar da Pedreira, na Freguesia de Nordeste. Em frente à Igreja, situa-se um jardim público, com um coreto. Este pequeno povoado localiza-se sobre a Ponta da Marquesa (122m), a ponta mais oriental de São Miguel.
Seguindo por um carreiro estreito e inclinado, passará por pontos de paragem verdadeiramente deslumbrantes como as Portas da Fajã, que se abrem sobre um precipício em direcção ao mar, num estreito trilho escavado na rocha.

The circuit begins near the church of Nossa Senhora da Luz, Pedreira, Nordeste. In front of the Church is located a public garden with a gazebo. This small town is located on the "Ponta da Marquesa" (122m), the easternmost tip of São Miguel.
Following a narrow and steep track you’ll encounter look-out-points over the sea of rare beauty. Some parts of this trail were literally excavated in the rocky slope.
