First Stop: N37°46.887' W97°07.546'

SATURDAY, August 30th

STARTING AT
4PM

This is a CACHE IN - TRASH OUT event (CITO event).
It qualifies as a "Seven Souvenirs of August" CITO event.

You can earn a Nature Lover Souvenir for attending this CITO event and logging that you "Attended" this event. See the "Additional Waypoints" section below to see the other places that we will be visiting.

You may wonder, "Okay, but what do I do?" ...

  1. Before the event:
Grab as many friends as you can.
    Post a "Will Attend" log.
  2. Meet at the posted coordinates at 4PM.
  3. Pick up a whole bunch of trash.
  4. Log online that you "Attended."
Tell your friends to log that they "Attended" too.
  5. Feel good about what you did.

Bring a camera. Take photos. Upload the photos to the event page. As the events progress, we will build a photo collage of geocachers out there CITO'ing away and making a cleaner world. Check out what we have so far. Click on an image for a close-up.

Cache In Trash Out is an environmental activity intimately tied to geocaching. Whenever you are out looking for geocaches, look around and collect litter along the trails and properly dispose of it. Practice policies of Leave No Trace (LNT.org), the center for outdoor ethics.
