Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches paying homage to classic video games.

BurgerTime Logo

BurgerTime is a 1982 arcade game created by Data East for its DECO Cassette System. The game's original title, Hamburger (ハンバーガー?), was changed to BurgerTime before its introduction to the US. The player is chef Peter Pepper, who must walk over hamburger ingredients located across a maze of platforms while avoiding pursuing characters. In the US, Data East USA licensed BurgerTime for distribution by Bally Midway. The Data East and Midway versions are distinguished by the manufacturer's name on the title screen and by the marquee and cabinet artworks. (source Wikipedia)

The object of BurgerTime is to create a series of hamburgers while avoiding murderous enemy foods.  Your only weapon is a pepper shaker with a very limited supply of pepper!  The ingredients for the burgers are placed vertically on a maze type level and as Peter walks across them, they fall to the next level.  The goal is to get all ingredients to the bottom of the screen, thus creating a burger.  Once all burgers in a given level are completed, the level ends.

The cache is a multi vitamin container painted to look "natural" and is located just off some snowmobile trails.  I was in the area grabbing some of the P&S series of caches, when I noticed this other trail system heading west.  There is plenty of room for more caches in the future.

FTF gets a dollar coin!
