At the beginning of 2014, there were just 5 wherigo geocaches in the entire state of Victoria. Contrary to popular belief, the wherigo platform is actually quite stable. And since smartphones now make loading and playing wherigo cartridges so quick and easy, it is about time that there were a few more caches in Victoria using this great technology.
Ironically, it is because wherigo is so powerful and allows so much to be created with it that errors can creep in and be overlooked during programming.
I'll cover the typical errors made during development that lead to wherigo problems while caching - and obviously how you should avoid them.
Ultimately you'll find that developing a wherigo cache is actually the easy part - the real challenge is crafting a creative and compelling storyline!

This venue and date/time have been chosen because they're prepared to allow use of their facilities for free during the week. Food and drinks can be ordered from the bar. If someone has a suitable central venue available on a Saturday (4pm to 6pm), I'll consider moving the event.

If you're attending the developer's session at 6pm, ideally bring your notebook computer along loaded with a wherigo builder (preferably Urwigo). Only the Urwigo building platform will be demonstrated at this session, although all the principles and terminology are the same regardless of which builder you choose to use.

If numbers (for the earlier builder's workshop) are limited by the venue, whoever has logged a "Will attend" first will get priority.
