Geocache Description:

At 132 feet it is the highest water fall in Missouri. It is located in the Taum Sauk State Park along the Ozark Trail.

From Mina Sauk Falls you can look over the Taum Sauk valley. You will view one of the most rugged and isolated sections of the Missouri Ozarks. The falls are a center point of local Indian legends, both tragic and romantic. Spend the night in the campground and hike the many trails in the area. Take a drive to the Taum Sauk reservoir and visit the mineral museum. Elephant Rocks and Johnson Shut-in is also close by. Mina Sauk Falls is the anchor of a triangle of three caches on the Ozark Trail. All are within 2 miles of each other and can be found in one day. However, the Wildcat Cache should only be attempted by those with map and compass skills and is not for small children. Good luck and good caching.
