When I was a kid, we lived at the top of this hill and we would walk down to this brook to go fishing. Since trout are very skittish, we would drop clumps of grass and dirt in the water on one side of the road to cloud the water on the other side. I caught my first trout here...a whopping 6 1/2 inches long!! It's hard to believe you can still see fish here...they look like big minnows! Thanks for visiting Sandgate!!
