Gile Mountain is a popular, family friendly, pet friendly hike up a local hill with a fire tower that, if heights don't make you nervous, affords great views in all directions. Our families hiked up it and thought we'd find a geocache but were surprised to find none were there, so we decided to create one. The cache is not on the tower. Don't be misled by other geocaching-like containers in the woods nearby -- they are part of Valley Quest (a fun, local geocaching-like game). This cache is winter friendly (off the ground).
