Jumbo Airwaves Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

swimcd: I put this series together as a baby Jumbo, and I was able to take care of it while I was there. While I am not too far away now, I think it is time to step aside. During covid, I dont think its a bad idea to keep foot traffic around the school down, and by archiving these, I hope a future Jumbo cacher can place some hides of their own. I will be collecting the in-place containers this week.

Thanks to all who made the trip and the finds!

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Tufts University!

This Jumbo cache series, named after our mascot, will take you on a geocaching tour of our awesome campus.

Enjoy!

When I first came to Tufts as a high school senior, I fell in love with the campus. It was exactly what I had been looking for in a university: near a city, but with room to breathe; the right program, everything fit perfectly. The only downside-- incredibly few caches! So with this series, I want to introduce people to the Tufts that I love, and put some new caches out there. So, I hope you come to enjoy the University as much as I do! As this series is placed over a college campus, the muggle factor is high (more so in some places than others), so please be sure to use stealth. Extra kudos given for including pictures with your logs.

Happy Caching!!

" Coming to you live from Medford, Massachusetts, you are listening to WMFO 91.5, Tufts Freeform Radio station!" The building that stands above you at ground zero here is Curtis hall, which houses am awesome cafe, as well as the headquarters for the majority of the media organizations here on campus. The student- run radio station, WMFO, as well Adidas our award winning publications, the Tufts daily ( we are the smallest school in the US to have their own student run daily newspaper) and the Observer, a weekly magazine holding student editorials, stories, and photo essays, are all housed in this building. These organizations provide an opportunity to a lot off students to explore their creative side, and the publications are widely popular across campus.

The cache here can be accessed easily without climbing anything.

Parking for this series is accessible to the non-Tufts public in the Dowling Hall parking garage on Boston Avenue for a fee of eight dollars, or along Boston Avenue free of charge… Anywhere else is at your own risk!

Super special thank you to Tufts Facilities and Linda Snyder to approving the placement for this series of Geocaches!!
