This is our first geocache placement. We are close to 200 finds, so we feel experienced enough to place this cache. It's a good idea to have a bunch of finds under your belt before you start hiding caches! Please rehide the cache where and how you found it. The cache is in a small lock n lock container. It has room for some swag and trackables. Happy Caching!
A lot of people find their first geocaches on the rail trail, so I thought I'd include some newbie info.
If you are using the intro app, please make sure you visit www.geocaching.com to verify your email address, so other geocachers can contact you. Geocachers are a very friendly bunch and are happy to offer assistance if you can't find a cache.
If you can't find a cache, you should log it as "Did not find." That way cache owners know there might be a problem with their cache.
The trinkets in caches are called swag. It is common practice to trade even or trade up, but if you are new to caching and with your kids, it's fine with me if they take something without adding something. I live nearby and will refill.
This cache might contain trackables. Trackables are game pieces that can travel the globe. Sometimes they look really cool, but please don't take them until you've read up on how they work. They have tracking codes that link them to geocaching.com.
