This is the very center of Tulcea, a place designed for pedestrians only. One may spend a relaxing time in the square while feeding the friendly pigeons, listening to the music from the water fountain or simply seating on the bench to enjoy the atmosphere. There is also a public stage where several dancing, singing and film festivals take place, especially during the summer time. The square can be a crowded place, especially in the afternoon when there are many children playing around.
