In 1983 a local charitable organisation was approached and offered £200,000 by an anonymous donor if they used the money to build a hospice.
In 1984 the fundraising began under the guidance of a fundraising committee which consisted of members from each of the four clubs, my Dad included. In June 1992 the 10 bedded hospice opened its doors.
And so to the cache. The above co-ordinates take you to a bench which marks the Silver Jubilee of the hospice. The bench is plastic but the cache is a magnetic 1.5ml container so go figure.
With hindsight the terrain is probably a touch high. My judgement was probably a bit clouded by the mud I had to go through when I set it. The rest of the year it's a normal 1.5 or maybe even 1.
