Geocache Description:

Where: Paddys Drive, Delacombe - enter from Wiltshire Lane.

When: Sunday 26 April 2015

Time: 10am-11am

 

 

Please bring the following:

  • a pair of gloves
  • a heavy duty garbage bag
  • a pair of tongs
  • water bottle to keep hydrated
  • hat and sunscreen

Each caching team will be expected to collect at least one bag of rubbish

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources! Geocachers around the world celebrate International Cache In Trash Out weekend annually by participating in Cache In Trash Out Events in their local area. This event is focussed on tidying an area in Delacombe. Together, we can make an enormous positive impact. Please respect the spirit of CITO and contribute by doing what you can to assist in cleaning up the environment. On this occasion, the souvenir is just a bonus. We are very grateful to the City of Ballarat for providing a skip to deposit all of our collected rubbish.
****DUE TO INDICATIONS OF LARGE ATTENDANCE, and the inability of BCC to give us an area requiring more cleanup, we ask that while caching in the Ballarat area over the weekend, PLEASE CITO AS YOU GO AND COLLECT AT LEAST ONE BAG OF RUBBISH FROM THE AREAS YOU ARE CACHING. BRING IT ALONG TO THE CITO AND ADD IT TO THE SKIP.****
