Geocache Description:

Now a retired series I am keeping some of these alive. This cache is no longer a puzzle but the hide qualifies as a mystery. The cache you seek IS at the posted coordinates.

MD-GA Geo-Trail

We created the Maryland GeoArt Series to simulate a different type of caching in Montgomery County. We have so many nanos, tupperware and creative unknowns. We created GET to give us a starting point and then went for this series to continue it. This time we wanted to take the standard a little higher.  If you complete this entire series you will have a group of smileys (27 Caches) that form a M and D for Maryland! To complete all these caches you will need to solve simple puzzles and sometimes use Tools of the Trade (TOTT) to complete these caches. Other times it may take patience and diligence to retrieve the cache log. There are some park and grabs but they may be devious. Have fun with this series and we hope to go even further on the next go around! A base description below has been copied across all the cache listings.

Maryland Geo-Art comes to Germantown and some of the areas close as well. These caches consist of simple puzzles with a fun end result. Most of the endings are gadget caches, field puzzle caches, TOTT required caches, and some simple Tupper in the woods with a theme. Most of these will be a short hike or Park and Grab. The idea is continue bringing great caches to Maryland and some more Geo-Art. For each cache you are answering or solving the puzzle below. Hints will be included for the final part of each cache and not the puzzle.

NO LONGER A PUZZLE. THE COORDINATES HERE WILL TAKE YOU TO THE OLD GZ. IT IS HERE FOR REFERENCE AND COMICAL PURPOSES!

This cache you are solving the puzzle below. Once you get to ground zero it should be a real easy hike from parking. The cache is something of the same but has been exaggerated to elementary size. Please feel free to enjoy the "space" available and make yourself known on the log sheet. We made it that way on purpose for a laugh and for fun!

When you arrive at GZ you can use the on site items to calculate the result below. This should be the easiest puzzle cache you will ever solve!

1. For the number of boulders how many are in the second row (A)?

2. Where the grey sign is attached how many letters are in the first sentence (B)?

3. If you see the red bird, count how many times it chirps... (C)

4. The yellow gate value written on the brass tag on the right side equals (D).

(A)+(B)/(C)+(D)= A Sum

If you figured out the answer the value of E is____?

The final coords to the cache are N 39 09.GHI W 077 18.JKL

G=7 H=5 I=7 J=6 K=8 L=4
