Foss Mt. Parking (NEW) Traditional Cache

Last year the old trail to Foss Mt. was closed, a new trail created, and a big new parking lot made. When they moved the kiosk, the old cache didn't make the switch. Thanks, Too Tall for hiding the original cache.

Drive up slowly and carefully....AWD or 4-wheel drive highly recommended!!!!!

So, in the summer, this will almost be a park 'n grab. And, since most people will visit in the summer, I will rate it accordingly...well, with a half star extra for the steep drive up. If you visit in the winter, then you will get a lot more exercise...bravo!

The new trail to the summit of Foss Mt. starts up an existing woods road. But that peters out and the new trail continues as a lovely, winding, 3 foot wide, crushed-stone path, passing two informational kiosks with benches. I was quite astounded. Of course, the amazing view hasn't changed, so come on up on a clear day for the best rewards.
