Stratton Pond is a remote pristine pond in the heart of the GMNF. There are several different hikes to reach it. This hike here is an easy one.
The Stratton Pond Trail is a relatively flat hike for about 4 miles to the pond. There are tent sites on the north side of pond and there is also a shelter on the south side. There is a caretaker near the pond from mid June to Columbus Day. There is a small fee of around $5 to stay at the sites or shelter during this time. The pond is well worth a day hike. Very picturesque.
This cache is "hanging" around not far from the parking lot.
Congratulations to badkitty_62 on the FTF!
