Geocache Description:

The Stratton Mountain area is a great place to get away from the "hustle and bustle" of life. I have been coming here for years. This area is my "go to" place for hiking and camping. You can never run out of places to explore in the Green Mountains. The beauty is phenomenal!

This cache features the humble beginnings of the Deerfield River. The Deerfield runs for 76 miles through southern Vermont and northwestern Massachusetts before dumping into the Connecticut River. The river is also next to the trailhead to climb Stratton Mountain. A 3.4 mile hike to the fire tower on top. Southern VT's tallest peak.

This cache should be easy to find since it is on the bridge.
