Der Cache liegt in der Nähe der Doblkapelle in der Gemeinde Reichersberg.
Die Doblkapelle ist eng mit der Geschichte von Reichersberg, insbesondere des Stiftes Reichersberg verbunden. Der Überlieferung nach befindet sich die Doblkapelle auf einem alten Pestfriedhof. Speziell im Jahre 1649 wurde Reichersberg von dieser Seuche heimgesucht.
Während der Franzosenkriege ca. um 1800 wurde das Stift Reichersberg zu einem Lazarett, das zuerst von den Österreichern und später von den Franzosen genutzt wurde. Das Feld um die Doblkapelle wurde zu dieser Zeit wiederum als Friedhof genutzt.
Im Jahre 1845 wurde dann die Doblkapelle in der jetzigen Form erbaut.
Die Szenerie rund um die Doblkapelle ist typisch innviertlerisch – eine Kulturlandschaft mit stark landwirtschaftlicher Prägung.

The cache is situated close to the chapel „Doblkapelle“ and close to the village Reichersberg.
The Doblkapelle is connected to the history of Reichersberg and especially to the Reichersberg abbey. The fields around the Doblkapelle were always used as a cemetery. In 1649 there was the black death in Reichersberg and the dead people were buried in the fields around the Doblkapelle.
In the Napoleonic Wars the abbey of Reichersberg was used as a hospital first for austrian and later for french soldiers. The dead soldiers were again buried in the fields around the Doblkapelle.
The Doblkapelle in the current form was built in 1845.
The scenery around the Doblkapelle is typical for this region “Innviertel” - a cultural landscape with a strong agricultural attitude.
