Geocache Description:

A walk along the coastal footpath from the Sound to Port Erin. The trail can be followed in either direction, we recommend starting at the Sound as the climb from Port Erin is steep. Unfortunately dogs are banned on this path which is permissive only, not a public right of way. The path is narrow and close to steep drops in a couple of places. Buses run occasionally but check the timetable!

Down in the dip here, out of the wind on a breezy day, downright hot on a sunny one. There is a climb now going either way, the sea views should make up for it, failing that think of icecream in Port Erin or the Sound Cafe. This area can be very wet in winter, care may be needed crossing the stream as the rocks can be slippery and the ground soft.

The cache is just inland of the path, where the old hedge bank ends. Look for a short post, hidden in the heather. The micro is concealed in this post. Tweezers might be needed to extract the cache from the hide, also the log from the cache.
