Padlock 02 - Taking the biscuit Mystery Cache

After 4 active years we’re calling time on this geo-art.  We’re giving everyone until 1st April 2020 to solve / find these caches, after which time we’ll be archiving this series

This is one of a series of puzzle caches which we have decided to put out.  Remember to keep an eye out for the information you will need to use to solve the final cache in the series.  Enjoy.

At a recent geocache meeting something ghastly happened.  Someone took the last slice of Lulybelle’s legendary Chocolate Biscuit Cake.  Well there were questions to be asked and so Inspector Lulybelle donned her deer stalker and questioned the suspects.  Below is a summary of the statements.  Can you tell who did the terrible deed?

Paul:  it wasn't Trevor and it was Lucy

Lucy:   it wasn't Ringo and it wasn't Trevor

 Ringo: it was Trevor and it wasn't Paul

Derek:   it was Ringo and it was Lucy

Trevor:  it was Derek and it wasn't Paul 

When you think you know who it is, enter the person’s name into the checker (all lower case) and see if you are right.
