From the trailhead, you can find your way to this cache with a leisurely stroll on an easy trail, surrounded by majestic pines. This is a small park, and I highly recommend continuing around the loop and along the shore of the Connecticut River.
This cache was placed by three young kids (with a little guidance from the adults) after our two families had gone for a swim in the river. The kids had spent a great deal of time throwing mud (and the parents a great deal of time trying to keep it under control), hence the name of the cache.
The cache contains a number of trinkets for kids to trade and a tiny log book and pencil. We hope you enjoy it!
