A city virtual cache with great views and a tragic history
------------
January 2008. I have been thinking about the future of this cache for about a year. I thought the new year would be a good time to make a move. As soon as I disabled it, I received an outpouring of support for Liberty's Flame from around the world!! As a result, I will re-enable the cache with a change. I am doing away with the challenge question and in its place, I invite new finders to POST A PHOTO OF THE FLAME WITH THEIR GPS - old finders are encouraged to repost their pictures as well! By the way, the original answer was the Eiffel Tower!
------------DO NOT FORGET THE GPS IN YOUR PICTURE (starting in June, new finds without GPS in pics will be deleted.) ------------
This is a virtual cache that came to international attention in 1997 (10 years after it had been installed). Originally this item was placed by the International Herald Tribune to celebrate its one hundredth anniversary. Now the location is known for something much less joyful. To log this virtual cache, at the site please say a prayer, a silent reflection, or something else of a thoughtful nature (but please do not leave any graffiti). To log your visit, please post a picture of the flame with your GPS. Make those pictures fun!!!! Logs without photos added to the cache log will be deleted, as will internet "finds" by those who do not visit the location. THANKS AND ENJOY!

Paris... Bela Paris...
Fomos jantar a Paris e demos um saltinho rapidinho aqui para fazer algumas caches.
Esta sendo uma delas. Muito bonita a chama.
Por cima do tunel de Lady Diana :)

This was the first virtual cache we found in France. After visiting the exhibition Maison & Object at the Parc de Exposition de Paris Nord in Villepinte, we headed to the center of Paris to look for some caches.
A very nice spot that brings us strong emotions and reminds us the tragic day when we heard the sad new Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fahyed were both dead. Greetings from Portugal. TFTC. TNLN.

TFTC. TNLN.
