A walk through a grassy meadow, accessible from several directions.
Well-marked trails.
This cache is fairly easy to get to, though the distance you walk
will depend on the direction from which you approach. You don't
have to cross any private property or get within 100' of any beach
houses. No bush-whacking required, but do keep your eyes peeled for
poison oak. The area is safe for pets and small children. Anyone
may hunt for this cache, but special bonus points go to father/son
geocaching teams.
The cache is a smallish round Rubbermaid container, and contains
a logbook/pen, and several fun toys. There was a disposable camera
in the cache initially and you can view the visitors who
photographed themselves below. Note that some of the photos show
the cache location and could be spoilers.
The coordinates are pretty accurate, but the EPE in the area
tends to be high, so it may not be exactly where your GPS receiver
says when you first arrive.
This cache is dedicated to fathers everywhere, and mine in
particular. Thanks for getting me hooked on geocaching, Dad!

October 31 by peigimccann (750 found) This is the time of year in which you cannot tell poison oak from the sticks of the forest. Blackberry, blackberry, poison oak? Ivy, ivy, blackberry, poison oak? After this cache I took a scrubbing shower when I got home, but the joys of this cache were the cliff top views of the bay, and the late sun shining through the dried clover, well worth a little PO!

| October 19 by WERDAVE (4878 found) Another nice area for a walk "discovered" only because of the caches. This was our last one in the park. Followed a variety of well worn, but totally unmarked paths to get to this one. GPSr was trying to lead us astray, but 22wander spotted the tell-tale hiding spot before we were too far into the brush. Our oldest cache of the day -- good to see it has survived. TNLNSL. TFTC.

[view this log] | October 19 by 22wander (5576 found) Given the clue, we were surprised it was at this spot because....well, don't want to spoil it for those who search 'clueless'. Satellite was spotty on this cloudy, drizzly day. TNL Hannah's Sally TB TFTC
