The Rose Hill Transfer Station is our local dump. The BEST part is the Rose Hill Free Library. This unlit, unheated cinder block shed contains books and periodicals donated by anyone who cares to. It's loosely organized by topic. The staff of the waste management company keeps the library clean by recycling or discarding books that are damaged, any books that are unlikely to be taken (encyclopedias galore!) and any piles of books that simply will not fit.
Please follow these rules:
- NO SELLING of books is permitted
- bring only clean, dry books and magazines that are in good condition or better
- place any donations on the shelves (don't dump on floor)
- please no VHS, DVDs, catalogs, newspapers, coupons, or trash
Advice from an experienced visitor - smell a book before you decide to bring it home!
Enjoy!!
P.S. Because there is no satellite service inside the building, the hint is extremely specific.
Congrats to Zippy72345 for the FTF!!
