Bromley Common Baptist Church
Another in the ever expanding Church Micro Series, started by Sadexploration.
I have not found much information about the church. It was founded as a Sunday school by Thomas Nettleton and his wife in the 1860s which was initially run in a private house. Eventually they bought a plot of land in what is now Cherry Orchard Road and built a small hall there in 1870. The Sunday school used the hall in the mornings and afternoons and a new church, the Bromley Common Mission, used it in the evenings, both run by Thomas. The halls were enlarged in the 1870s and 1880s, including the addition of a classroom. In 1892, the mission hall became Bromley Common Baptist Church.
The mission hall still stands in Cherry Orchard Road, but a new church was built in Gravel Road. The current congregation of the church is around 35 people.

Until the 20th Century it was thought that on 31 October 1517 AB Theses were written by C C, were composed in language D and posted on the door of the Castle Church of E. The posting on the door is now considered unlikely.
