The 80’s
This Mystery Cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. You must solve the puzzle below in order to get the secret coordinates. Once you have the secret coordinates you can find the cache, sign the log and officially claim your find.
The Puzzle
You will need to watch the video link below that contains sound clips from music, movies, news stories and sports moments from each year of the 1980’s. Each sound clip is accompanied on screen by a number from 1 – 40. You will have to identify each sound clip and then determine what year from the decade the clip came from and then add the on screen value to the total for that year. Once you have the total sum for each year of the decade you will use the clues below to combine the yearly totals into 4 different groups. Finally you will use the group totals to solve an equation and reveal the mystery coordinates.

The easiest way to do this would be to write a list of years from 1980 – 1989 then as you identify which year each clip is from write the on screen value beside the year it belongs to so you can get each year’s total sum when you are finished.

Please note that there should be 4 clips from each year of the decade except 1987 which has 5 and 1988 which has 3

Use this picture clue to categorize the years into 4 groups then find the total value of each group.

Your new number should be the coordinates

Now divide your new number by the total of group D
