This multi provides a pleasant hike on some of the trails behind Codman Estate. It is designed as a loop so just keep going forward and following the trails. There are 2 stages before the final. The final is not near parking but the way back should be obvious. Both stages and the final are a little bit off the trail. This multi is designed to be winter friendly, but deep snow may make it more difficult. It is a little less than 2 miles long.
Recommended parking for the cache is at the designated parking area for the Codman Estate, just as you turn onto the driveway from Codman Road. Walk along the driveway or through the grounds to the trailhead a short distance away. The grounds are open to the public everyday from dawn until dusk, free of charge. From the trailhead cross the wooden bridge that goes over the train tracks and proceed to the first stage. Coordinates for both stages are written on clothespins that have been clipped onto small branches of trees. They are not visible from the trail but are visible from other vantage points, so you do not have to move anything to find them. They can be hard to spot, however, as they blend in with their surroundings. The final is a small plastic bottle wrapped in camouflage tape, about 4 inches high and 2 inches wide, with pencils and a log book.
