Passeggiando in direzione di Alba, all'altezza della rotonda, si accede al Pian della Croce. Il nome deriva dal pianoro della collina su cui è stato eretto il pilone votivo dedicato a Gesù in Croce. Un tempo nelle vicinanze sorgeva una cappella consacrata a San Bernardo. Imboccando la scalinata o la salita ciclabile, dal Pian della Croce si raggiunge il Colle della Resistenza. "Qui vivono per sempre gli occhi che furono chiusi alla luce perché tutti li avessero aperti per sempre alla luce" è la poesia che accoglie i visitatori del Parco, scritta appositamente dal Poeta Ungaretti per questo colle. Inaugurato nel 1968 dai rappresentanti delle formazioni partigiane, dedicato alla libertà ed a coloro che per essa hanno combattuto, è immerso in una selva che ricrea quella che un tempo ricopriva la Langa. L'anfiteatro, ideato come luogo di raduno, è stato progettato dall'architetto torinese Amodei, mentre lo scultore Santoro ideò il cancello e la struttura centrale.

Walking in the direction of Alba, near the roundabout, you enter the ‘Pian della Croce’ (plain of the cross). The name refers to the plain between the hills where the pylon was built dedicated to Jesus on the cross. At one time, a chapel was built close by, dedicated to Saint Bernard. Taking the stairs or the cycle-track from ‘Pian della Croce’, you reach the hill of the Resistance. “Here live forever the eyes that were shut from the light, so they may always be open to the light”; is the poem that welcomes the visitors to the park, written specially for this hill by the poet Ungaretti. The official opening in 1968 was done by representatives of the partisan group and the place was dedicated to freedom and to those who fought for that freedom. The park is immersed in a forest that stands for the one that, at one time, covered the Langa. The amphitheatre, ment to be a meeting place, is designed by the Turin architect Amodei, whereas the gate and central structure were designed by the sculptor Santoro.

An Ortseingang, auf Höhe des Kreisverkehrs, gelangt man an den 'Pian del Croce'. Der Name kommt von dem Bildstock mit Kruzifix, der hier errichtet wurde. Einst stand in der Nähe eine dem heiligen Bernhard gewidmete Kapelle. In den Treppenweg einbiegend oder über den ansteigenden Fahrradweg erreicht man den 'Colle della Resistenza' (Hügel des Widerstands). Eingeweiht im Jahr 1968 von Vertretern der Partisanenverbände, gewidmet der Freiheit und denjenigen, die für sie gekämpft haben, liegt der Park inmitten eines Dickichts, das demjenigen gleicht, das einst die Langa bedeckte. Das Amphitheater, erdacht als Ort der Versammlung, ist vom Turiner Architekten Amodei projektiert worden, während der Bildhauer Santoro das Gittertor und die zentrale Struktur erdacht hat. Mit einem Gedicht, vom Dichter Ungaretti eigens für diesen Hügel geschrieben, werden die Besucher des Parks empfangen.
