The most recent flood was of course the flood of 2011! How about the flood of 1936?
This area was wrecked by the damage of Hurricane Irene. Part of the road you are on was washed away. I remember seeing large trees, sheds, houses, propane tanks and other items floating around in this area, from the Deerfield River. The area accross the way are the fields of the private schools in the area. Hope this flood event never happens again. Bring your own pen for the cache. Congrats to Mathteacher30 for being FTF!
