Central Victorian Get Together - Mighty Murray (Yet Again)
Almost Anzac Day (24th April) 2016 11am-2pm
Come and enjoy a day of socialising and geocaching in the popular twin cities of Echuca-Moama on the Mighty Murray River.
Just 2 hours from the outskirts of Melbourne, Echuca offers everything from old fashioned country hospitality through to cafes and restaurants that can cut it in the big league.
The event will be held at Apex Park in Echuca (a familiar event site). The park has a large grassed and fenced playground, covered BBQ and toilets. BYO tucker for the BBQ, drinks and something to sit on. There's plenty of parking in the immediate area and the park is wheelchair friendly.
We'll be there from 11am till 2pm, although we suspect most will shoot through and go hunting for caches.
As Anzac Day falls on a Monday we've decided to run the event on the Sunday to save people from having to rush home. Besides, some of you may decide to make a very long weekend of it. There are many, many accommodation options in the area and an internet search will point you toward some excellent choices.
Don't forget to run a PQ covering southern NSW. There are at least 150 caches within 30km. I'm sure a few more will pop up as the day nears.
We look forward to catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones.
