As I entered the New Year (2016), I started thinking about my geocaching experience.
It all started in the winter of 2003. I stumbled upon geocaching while I was searching the internet for hiking trails. I became intrigued and read up on it.
I looked up local hides. I found that there was one right near my home. It was called Water and Woods in Watertown (GCH5MC). Looking at it on the map, I thought that I knew right where it should be. I decided to go and check out if this geocaching stuff was for real.
Arriving at GZ, I found the cache very quickly. I signed the log, went back to the website and entered my very first find - and without a GPSr. Soon after that I bought my first device and I've been hooked ever since.
Soon after that historic event, the owners of the cache (2KidsFromColton) moved away to Arizona; and Water and Woods in Watertown was archived. For a long time this area was undergoing construction. Now that it's complete, I feel that it's time for a cache to once again be introduced to this beautiful park..
