Geocache Description:

I had a Multi placed here but decided to archive it due to lack of activity on it and a missing first stage. Easy and free parking can be found in the paved lot of the Armstrong Skating Rink at 103 Long Pond Rd,

AND BAT DADDY COMES UP WITH A SNOWY F.T.F. amongst some intense competition. Congrats and happy caching..

This is Cache # 1 in a series I placed to replace the former "G On The Tree" multi that began here. Cooks pond was once the sight of two cottages and several aceres of land that my late uncle Carlo G. owned back in the 1950s through the time he passed at whic time it was left to his sons who do not live in the area. The sons eventualy sold or donated it to the Wildland trust and due to much illegal dumping has been closed to vehicular traffic. My Grandfather would frequently take us down to the propertry as a children, as a kid in boy scouts my uncle would allow us to camp here too. To say the least Cooks Pond brings back many memorys.
