Este ano será organizada a primeira corrida de Travel Bugs do grupo GeoAlgarvio com o nome "The Lost World Race".
.A corrida terá a duração de 1 ano, com o ínicio neste evento e terminará no dia 9 de Abril de 2017;
.Cada participante só poderá participar com um Travel Bug, obrigatoriamente com as chapas da Groundspeak (com um tracking number válido);
.Não são aceites cópias em papel ou quaisquer outros meios com o respectivo tracking number;
.A cada chapa do Travel Bug concorrente deverá ser acoplado um objecto a gosto do participante e ao qual deverá ser atribuído um nome;
.Todos os participantes ficam alertados para o facto de quanto maior for o objecto mais difícil será colocá-lo numa cache;
.Terá ainda de conter uma identificação em papel (laminado) explicativa da corrida (será entregue neste evento);
.Todos os Travel Bugs iniciarão a corrida no mesmo dia e terão de ter 0 km (no início da corrida todos os Travel Bugs participantes deverão já estar activados e registados no site);
.Qualquer Geocacher poderá participar nesta Corrida, tendo apenas que estar presente neste evento com um Travel Bug activo pronto a correr;
.Apenas contarão os quilómetros e países até ao início do evento que irá ser organizado no dia 9 de Abril de 2017;
.Nenhum participante pode impedir a corrida de outro Travel Bug nem retirar os mesmos das GeoCaches, podendo apenas fazer o registo de “Discovered it”;
.Cada owner do respectivo Travel Bug deverá avisar a organização da corrida caso sofra alguma infração por outro participante, sendo este penalizado em 500 km no seu Travel Bug;
.Os participantes não poderão movimentar o seu próprio Travel Bug. Caso aconteça, serão desqualificados;
.Todos os movimentos dos Travel Bugs terão que ser registados, na página da GeoCache e no Logbook da mesma;
.Os vencedores serão três, dois para o maior número de quilómetros percorridos e outro para o maior número de países visitados (pode ser possível um Travel Bug ganhar os dois troféus, quilómetros/países),
.Apela-se ao bom senso e fair-play de todos os participantes para que colaborem no respeito das regras e na corrida dos Travel Bugs “rivais”;
.Todos os participantes deverão aceitar as regras estabelecidas para a corrida;
.Qualquer movimento suspeito será passível de denúncia e respectiva desclassificação pela organização;
.A classificação, estado actual e notícias relativas à corrida serão apresentadas no Facebook do GeoAlgarvio, no site http://geoalgarvio.com e http://www.tb-run.com/show-race-GEOALGARVIO.html
Regras iniciais a ser implementadas neste evento:
.No dia da corrida os Travel Bugs serão numerados e sorteados por todos os geocachers participantes, sob pena de ninguém poder ficar com o seu próprio Travel Bug;
.A partir do momento em que é atribuído um Travel Bug, o participante fica obrigado a deixá-lo numa cache num período que não deve ultrapassar os 2 dias. Caso não o faça serão retirados 500 km ao seu Travel Bug;
.Os Travel Bugs concorrentes não podem ser deixados em GeoCaches que se presumam ser pouco visitadas ou GeoCaches de dificuldade e/ou terreno superior a "2.5".

É muito importante que me mantenha a circular! Muito obrigado pela sua ajuda! O meu objectivo é circular por todo o mundo, de cache em cache, conquistando o maior número de quilómetros e países. Por favor ajude-me a ganhar esta corrida, visitando diferentes distritos, países e caches. Se possível, coloque também fotografias no seu registo.
O Evento
A partida será das 16.00 às 18:00.
This year the GeoAlgarvio group will organize the first Travel Bug race, named "The Lost World Race".
.The race will last for one year, with the beginning in this event and it will end on the 9th of April of 2017;
.Each contestant may only participate with one Travel Bug, mandatorily with Groundspeak's plates (with a valid tracking number);
.Paper copies or from any other kind are not accepted along with it's tracking number;
.An object of the participant's liking has to be linked to the contestant Travel Bug's plate and a name should be given to it;
.All contestants are warned to the fact that the larger the object the more difficult will be to leave it in a GeoCache;
.It will also must contain a paper identification (laminated) describing the race (it will be delivered to each contestant in this event);
.All Travel Bugs will start the race on the same day and must have 0 km (at the start of the race all participating Travel Bugs must already be activated and registered on the site);
.Any Geocacher can take part in this race, having only to be present in this starting Event with an active Travel Bug ready to race;
.The limit of kilometers and countries is the start of the event in the 9th of April of 2017.
.None of the contestants can interfere with the race of another Travel Bug or remove it from GeoCaches, they can only log a "Discovered it";
.Each Owner of a respective Travel Bug must notify the organization of the race if they suffer any infraction by another participant, being this one penalized with 500 km to his/hers Travel Bug;
.A contestant can not move his/her own Travel Bug. If this happens they will be disqualified;
.All movements of the Travel Bugs must be registered in both the GeoCache's page and in the paper logbook;
.There will be three winners, two of them awarded to the greatest number of kilometers traveled and the other one for the largest number of visited countries (it is possible for a single Travel Bug to win both trophies kilometers/countries);
.We appeal to the common sense and fair-play of all contestants to assist in compliance with this rules and the race of "rival" Travel Bugs;
.All contestants must comply with the rules listed for this race;
.Any suspicious activity will be subject to complaint and consequent disqualification by the organization;
.The leaderboard, current status and news concerning the race will be displayed in GeoAlgarvio's Facebook page, on the website http://geoalgarvio.com and also at http://www.tb-run.com/show-race-GEOALGARVIO.html
Initial rules to be implemented in this event:
.On race day all Travel Bugs shall be numbered and drawn by all participants without anyone getting their onw Travel Bug;
.When a Travel Bug is assigned to a person in the race, the participant is bound to drop it in a GeoCache within a maximum period of 2 days. Failling to do so will result in a 500 km penalty;
.The contestant Travel Bugs can not be dropped in GeoCaches which are assumed to have fewer visits or GeoCaches with difficulty and/or terrain bigger than "2.5".

It is very important that you keep me moving! Thank you very much for your help! My aim is to travel throughout the world, from cache to cache, winning the largest number of kilometers and countries.
