11/1/19 this geocache is prone to getting wet, and the log book fills up very fast (it is a nano afterall) to help, please seal it tight, and if possible bring a log book and replace the log if needed. Cheers! KC
I have placed a nano cache outside Guildford library. Guildford library has several floors, a computer room and I think it has an OS map rental area. It also has a nice children's section on the ground floor with lots of books and a playhouse. It is well worth a detour from the cache as the entrance is within a few meters of the GZ.
The cache
Old instructions The cache is located under the bench by one of the planters outside the library. It can be accessed from North Street. First look for a phone box, behind which is a bin and behind which is a bench and behind which is a large planter. Go to the very end of the bench nearest to the library and sit down on the bin and phone box side of the planter. At the seat look under it for a homemade magnetic Nano attached to the metal support. It is a magnetic paint pot nano with a log book strip only. new instructions: stand and face the library. the left top side of the top planter the furthest to your right is the one you are looking for. sit down on end of the bench closest to the library facing up the street and reach under. after some fumbling you will find it. please be discreet and use stealth, you will be surrounded by 100s of muggles!
IMPORTANT
Please ensure it is sealed up well and the strip is in its bag. Obviously as it is a Nano you need to bring your own pen and it has no room for swag or TBs. MAXIMUM STEALTH REQUIRED. This has been muggled twice now, don’t let muggles see your cache-retrieving activities and when you retrieve the cache take note of exactly were it was, and ensure you put it back there..
Anyway, enjoy this nice cache and dash on Guildford’s North Street - there are some nearby caches that are well worth visiting. Happy hunting!
