Geocache Description:

Near Foolproof Brewing and Pawtucket's very lovely transfer station you will find a small parking lot and a mostly forgotten park. Even in Spring and Summer these basketball and tennis courts are often more full of empty bottles than playing children. It's part of our seemingly Post Apocolyptic Pawtucket. This cache reminds me to think of the world without us and is a teaser for a series we are working on. Bring a pen and a flashlight if it's dark.

Just five minutes from the highway you'll find a spot to park and a few caches at this small park in Fairlawn. It's not as nice as I imagine it was when more people cared about this area, but I love this park anyway. Please consider CITO and pick up some trash on your way out. This spot is pet and child friendly and up a small hill.

Stand and consider what will remain here if untouched by humans for ten years, for 100?  What will crumble? What may grow? How will this landscape change? You may picture it better or worse. Whatever happens, some things will remain.  This cache is designed to remind you of some of the earth's constant and most important inhabitants, who will continue to exist in some form until the earth is dead. Container is a micro and contrary to popular belief it's living counterpart can withstand less radiation than a fruitfly.
