I recently discovered this gem of a spot and now I come here on a regular basis. This is Mast Point Dam Recreation Area. Enjoy the stroll along the Salmon Falls River and soak in the solitude of this location. Careful! You may become mesmerized by the gently flowing water and peaceful surroundings. The trick is finding the bridge that crosses the stream. You are looking for a large micro container camo'd to blend in with the surroundings.
Picnic tables are near parking and provide a nice spot to have your lunch. There are also a couple more picnic tables along the way to this cache in a more secluded spot. You can't miss them. Do not park on Salmon Falls Rd. It is narrow in the vicinity of the cache and there is no room to pull off the road safely. Please park only at the recommended parking area.
Bug spray is a must during spring and summer!
