Party in the Forrest Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Na'wal: Thanks to the people that came to this event. I had a great time with the fire roaring and meeting a few new people and enjoying a few glow worms later in the evening. Til next time... [:D]

Geocache Description:

Lake Elizabeth is hidden deep in the Otways. It is an inspiring location with heavily timbered flanks and calm waters punctuated by the trunks of dead trees, drowned when the valley was flooded more than 50 years ago to form this "perched lake".

Lake Elizabeth is great for camping, hiking & kayaking.

If your very lucky, the elusive platypus can be found in the waters of the lake - wake up early or head to the lake at dusk to catch a glimpse of these shy Australian natives.

The event sits on the bank of the east branch of the Barwon River sheltered by tall Eucalypts trees. A scenic 20 minute walk takes you to Lake Elizabeth if you wish to do so.

Access to this event is located only 10 minutes from Forrest township.
