We travel this road often and have been placing caches here so that people can enjoy this beautiful ride over the mountain, stopping a various places to take a hike or just wander into the woods. Traveling to this cache takes you up Route 118 ,a mountain road, to a well used trailhead, with plenty of parking. We 're happy to place another cache off this road to encourage people to the area.
After leaving the Jct of 112 bear left onto Route 118 and travel approximately 7 more miles to Ravine Road on the right, one of the trailheads for Mt Moosilauke. There is plenty of parking right off the road to grab this cache. After parking you will only have to walk into the woods approximately 120 ft to reach gz. The cache is not difficult to find so it should be relatively quick. Enjoy the area and if you enjoy hiking, you might want to have a most of the day for a hike up Mt. Moosilauke. The view if spectacular, on a good day! The cache container is partly man made and you only have to remove the top part to sign the log. Enjoy!
