The best parking for this cache is at Erias Park on Rt 133 (behind the police station). Do not park at the police station, the park has plenty of parking unless there are multiple baseball games going on. The trail head is just behind the back stop of the large baseball field straight ahead when you pull in. The trail goes in straight for a bit less than a mile then the trail makes a figure 8. The cache is just off the middle of the figure 8, you barely need to leave the trail. The trail is well marked except for the middle of the 8, you need to watch for it. The cache is your average size lock n lock and it will not be winter friendly if there's snow. I expect if you just did the cache and back you would travel just under two miles.
This is Rowley so there will be plenty of mosquitoes and ticks. I run along this trail quite a bit and I see the occasional dog walker, owl and hawk. One of the locals told me his dog treed a Fischer cat not too long ago. I'm not sure if this legend or not but be-careful.
