Esta cache pretende dar a conhecer mais um recanto na nossa ilha. Para lá chegar, pode optar por um dos dois trajectos fornecidos. O trajecto 1 leva-nos a percorrer parte da levada do Castelejo até à sua madre num percurso de 4.4km, onde apresenta um desnivel pouco acentuado e oferece algumas paisagens deslumbrantes e vegetação váriada. Se optar pelo trajecto 2, iniciando no Lombo Grande até à madre da levada do Castelejo, o desnivel é mais acentuado e terá pela frente um percurso de 2.4km por entre a natureza.

This cache intends to make another nook on our island. To get there, you can choose one of two routes provided. The route 1 takes us to travel part of the levada do Castelejo until his beginning over 4.4 km, where presents a gap little pronounced and offers some breathtaking scenery and varied vegetation. If you chose the route 2, starting at Lombo Grande to the beginning of the levada do Castelejo, the gap is more pronounced and will face a 2.4 km path through nature.

Chegando à madre, terá que subir por um trilho existente na margem esquerda (ver waypoint e seu spoiler), onde depois encontrará vários lances de escadas íngremes que terá de percorrer. Durante a subida pode desfrutar da vista sobre as montanhas e sobre a ribeira.
No fim da subida, será recompensado com uma impunente cascata, situada numa zona denominada como Pedra Rachada. Aí poderá descansar e até recuperar energias, apreciando a beleza do local.

Arriving at the beginning of levada do castelejo, you have to climb a trail on the left margin (see waypoint and your spoiler), where then you'll find steep stairs that you have to climb. During the ascent you can enjoy the view of the mountains and the river.
At the end of the climb, you will be rewarded with an impressive waterfall, located in an area known as Pedra Rachada (Split Rock). On here, you can relax and even recover energies, enjoying the beauty of the place.

Desde a madre da levada do Castelejo até à cascata, são cerca de 800m com sensivelmente 175m de desnível. A visita a esta cache não é recomendada a pessoas com vertigens. O trilho é íngreme com degraus estreitos sem proteção, em algumas zonas, existindo no entanto um cabo de apoio.
A visita a esta cache deve ser efectuada com boas condições climatéricas uma vez que o trilho, molhado, torna-se escorregadio. É requerida a máxima atenção nesta zona do percurso.
Deverá levar roupa, calçado confortáveis e apropriados, água e comida. O sinal gps pode ser fraco, tenha atenção o spoiler.

Since the beginning of the levada do Castelejo to the waterfall, there are about 800 m with roughly 175 m of slope. The visit to this cache is not recommended for people with Vertigo. The trail is steep with narrow stairs without protection in some areas, there is however a support cable.
The visit to this cache should be carried out with good weather conditions once the trail, wet, becomes slippery. Maximum attention is requested in this part of the route.
Should bring clothes and footwear comfortable and appropriate, food and water. The GPS signal may be weak, look for spoiler.
