Il Sentiero Natura "Andrea D’Ambrosio"
Il Sentiero Natura "Andrea D’Ambrosio" è stato realizzato dall'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, in collaborazione con l'Ente Regionale RomaNatura e la cooperativa Agricoltura Nuova; esso collega via Alvaro del Portillo con la Torre di Perna, sul tracciato che in parte percorre la valle della Selcetta.
Qui è possibile ammirare fontanili, piccole sorgenti con i loro microhabitat e l'antica cava della Selcetta, oggi impaludata, ricca di animali e pregevoli formazioni geologiche.
La Riserva Naturale di Decima Malafede con circa 6100 ettari di estensione è la più grande area protetta del sistema gestito da RomaNatura. Posta tra la porzione sud-occidentale della città di Roma, il Vulcano Laziale e la costa tirrenica, racchiude un'area di straordinario interesse storico, naturalistico e paesaggistico con connotati tipici della Campagna Romana. Il paesaggio è caratterizzato da un sistema idrografico costituito dal fosso di Malafede, dal fosso di Trigoria e dai loro affluenti. La storia geologica del territorio si svela in alcune cave dismesse, tra cui quella della Selcetta, che offrono numerosi spaccati dove è possibile osservare la successione quasi completa degli eventi geologici avvenuti nella bassa Campagna Romana nelle fasi più antiche ed esplosive del Vulcano Laziale.
Lungo il sentiero si troveranno aree di sosta e di osservazioni del patrimonio flora-faunistico, una zona umida nei pressi di una sorgente affiorante e uno stagno ricco di numerose specie di fauna locale. Alcuni pannelli informativi guideranno i visitatori alla scoperta della cava dismessa, della zona umida, del paesaggio e dell'ambiente animale e vegetale presenti in questo percorso breve ma per molti aspetti ricchissimo.

I punti da raggiungere che ti indicheranno le coordinate della cache finale sono sparsi lungo i luoghi principali del percorso. Ogni oggetto nascosto si tematizza con l’ambiente in cui si trova, per cui guarda bene!
1) “EX CAVA DI SELCE” - oltre la ringhiera potrai ammirare quello che rimane della cava, ma essendo proprietà privata non potrai addentrarti, tuttavia potrai sicuramente cercare il primo oggetto che, se usato bene, ti fornirà le seguenti coordinate:

2) “ZONA UMIDA” - Giunto sulla passerella potrai ammirare sotto di te la fauna del laghetto con tartarughe e rane, ma se vedi bene ci si nasconde anche qualcos’altro. Se hai trovato l’oggetto (sperando che non sia una rana) avrai le coordinate:

The Nature Trail "Andrea D'Ambrosio"
The Nature Trail "Andrea D'Ambrosio" was conducted by the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, in collaboration with the Regional Board and the cooperative RomaNatura New Agriculture; it connects via Alvaro del Portillo with the Tower of Perna, on the track and in part through the valley of Selcetta.
Here you can admire fountains, small springs with their microhabitats and the ancient quarry Selcetta today marshland, rich in animals and valuable geological formations.
The Tenth Malafede Nature Reserve with about 6100 hectares is the largest protected area supervisioned by RomaNatura system. Located between the south-western portion of the city of Rome, the Lazio Volcano and the Tyrrhenian coast, enclosing an area of extraordinary historical, naturalistic and landscaped with typical features of the Roman countryside. The landscape is characterized by a co hydrographic system it consists of the Malafede ditch, from Trigoria ditch and their tributaries. The geological history of the area is revealed in some abandoned quarries, including that of Selcetta, offering numerous split where you can observe the nearly complete sequence of geological events that occurred in the low Roman countryside in the earliest stages and explosive of the Latium Volcano.
Along the trail you will find rest areas and heritage observations fl ora and fauna, a wetland near an outcropping source and large pond for many species of local fauna. Some information panels will guide visitors to discover the abandoned quarry, the wetlands, the landscape and environment flora and fauna on this short but rich in many aspects.
