Welcome to the Scituate Maritime Center!
From the parking area, there is a very short walk to the cache on a nice trail with beautiful views of Scituate harbor. This is almost a park and grab.
The Scituate Maritime Center is located at Scituate's Marine Park. It serves a public kayak ramp, and 78 slips. There is a walking trail where the cache is hidden. The walking trail goes around the perimeter of the park. There is an excellent view of the harbor from here. Two historic buildings are at the park. One is closer to the road while one is on the harbor side. Sailing lessons meet here before they go out on the water. For all boaters, there is an operational boatyard. Enjoy the trail and the view while finding the cache. It is a camouflaged small, screw on cap plastic container. It can fit one or two small trackables and some trading items. Make sure to check yourself for ticks after you are here. Based on logs, there seems to be some ticks. If you would like to find a very similar cache, you can check out Jericho Boat Ramp. The Spooky side...
The winter is actually a great time to come here when there is not too much snow. The boats are stored here, and on windy days, all the masts to the sailboats make a creepy interesting noise.
