Geocache Description:

This is a medium sized cache located in the GrowUp! Community Garden in Woosocket.

This is the second cache I have placed. I chose this spot for 2 reasons. This is a community garden called GrowUp! Community Garden in the city of Woonsocket, right next to Harris Library. The Blackstone River is just over the hill. My special education classroom has been volunteering in the garden for years by weeding, fencing and growing seedlings that we obtained from URI. I decided that we needed to experience the joy of our own vegetable garden this year. That makes this spot special to me.

The second reason I placed a cache here is to give the garden more exposure. Founded in 2008, the garden has done a lot of growing (sorry for the pun) but needs some new volunteer blood! You can message them through their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GROWUP-Community-Garden-231953490153407/ Take a look around while you are searching and think about how you can help!

Groundhogs are a nuisance so if you see any, be scary!

Please park in the Harris Library parking lot. You can access the property either by squeezing through the fence to the left of the entrance or by going around the left side of the property and around the end of the fence. Please re-cover the cache as found. This should be a pretty easy find. It is a medium sized plastic jar with room to add shareable items. I've included a wishing stone for FTF as I did on my first cache. Its a pretty quiet spot so muggles shouldn't be much of an issue. Again, feel free to terrorize any groundhogs you may encounter! They love to eat our plants!

*Quick note about accessing the garden: although it says "No Trespassing" and the gate may be locked up, feel free to either squeeze through the opening to the left of the gate or go around to the left side of the garden and go around the fencing at the back. The signage is designed to deter non-gardeners from using the property inappropriately. Happy caching!
