We have all stuck our arms in guardrails to find that payoff in finding another cache and gaining another smiley.
We have probably collected a few stories of those guardrail caches and the things that we have encountered along the way.
Please feel free to share your stories in your logs, we would love to hear others experiences. Wild animals, wasps and bees, muggles, etc. I heard tell of one guardrail that had a muggle sit and stare at the guardrail making it difficult to grab. He wasn't there when we grabbed it though. We have seen a deer once. We had to sit and hold a container until muggles left so that we could race it back. We have taken numerous pictures around guardrails as an excuse. We have had to open the door on our van and fumble around with stuff. We have pretended to be on the phone or messing with our GPS. The joys of it all. The one thing that always gets me since I suffer from Arachnophobia is sticking my hands in and hitting the solid walls of sticky thick white webs. I race back to the van holding my arm out to Steve saying EWWWW GET IT OFF!!!!!!! But apart from the bees or wasps you never see what else may be living in those dark tunnels...
Well this cache is in honor of those times when things get a little sticky in hunting out those GRCs. This is my idea of what might be lurking in the dark tunnels of the guardrails....
