This is a challenge to find 12 of the 20 oldest active caches in Rhode Island. Located at the posted location, this cache just a short walk down the trail from one of the 20 oldest active caches (GC215C). Although you can sign the log at any time, please only log this as found once you have logged at least 12 of these oldies. You can check your eligibility using the Project GC checker below.
The cache location is a sunset hilltop view and set up to sit and log on the breezy stones. It is located on a spur trail just 20 feet from the 'Warner Trail' which is blazed with white circles. The difficulty is raised for the number of prerequisite caches that must be found. The actual hide difficulty of this cache is much lower.
Usually when finding the oldest caches, one will be able to enjoy a scenic view or a pleasant stroll leading to a regular sized stash as opposed to the ever-present urban micros of today. These hides have become truly worthy of perpetuation and typically receive maintenance and have the support of the geocaching community so they can continue to survive even after ten to fifteen years. This challenge serves as an offering to geocachers everywhere to highlight these quality hides.
