A Quinta do Conde é hoje – em termos populacionais – a maior freguesia do concelho de Sesimbra e, também, a mais jovem, pois só foi constituída em 1985. Tem 30 mil habitantes, localiza-se no coração da Península de Setúbal e comporta, para além da sede que lhe dá o nome, os núcleos designados por Casal do Sapo, Fontaínhas, Courelas da Brava, Ribeira do Marchante e o condomínio Quinta do Peru.
O crescimento e o desenvolvimento da localidade garantiram-lhe o estatuto de Vila em 1995 e transformaram-na no centro aglutinador da região, tanto no sector comercial como na prestação de serviços.
O desenvolvimento referido deveu-se em parte à iniciativa municipal, através da abertura de uma delegação municipal no início da década de oitenta do século passado e com a construção da rede de distribuição de água, da rede de saneamento e tratamento de resíduos, da rede de arruamentos asfaltados, e observada na edificação de escolas, do Mercado Municipal, do Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo, do Anfiteatro da Boa Água, do Cemitério Municipal, do Parque da Vila (o maior espaço verde tratado do concelho) e de inúmeras áreas verdes de menor dimensão. Mas, este desenvolvimento deveu-se também ao sector privado com a edificação de moradias, a criação de serviços, oficinas, armazéns abastecedores, restaurantes, superfícies comerciais, um cartório notarial, três farmácias, várias clínicas médicas e diversos balcões bancários que apelam a novos residentes e à procura destes serviços por habitantes circunvizinhos.
A proximidade à Autoeuropa, à cidade de Lisboa e a outros centros proporcionadores de emprego adita à Quinta do Conde outro tipo de atractividade. Nota: Um arame poderá ajudar, Peço para terem cuidado ao recolocá-la no ninho para não ficar muito distante.

Quinta do Conde is now - in terms of population - the largest parish in the municipality of Sesimbra, and also the youngest, because it was only set up in 1985. It has 30 000 inhabitants, located in the heart of the Setubal Peninsula and includes, apart from the thirst that gives it its name, the cores called Couple Frog, Fontaínhas, Courelas Brava, Ribeira Marchante and Quinta do Peru condominium.
